1. 시스템 Boot 명령어 
 
  System 의 power 를 on 시 unix machine 은 자동적으로 multi user mode 로 booting 을 시도함. 
 
   다음의 경우는 수동적으로 booting option 을 조절하는 명령어로 system power 
   on 후에 banner 가 display 되는 상태에서 STOP + A key 를 입력함. 
 
   OK boot (enter)            ---> System default boot ( multi user mode ) 
   OK boot -s (enter)         ---> single user mode booting 
   OK boot cdrom (enter)      ---> OS cd media 로 booting 
 
2. System Run Levels 
 
  . Unix system 은 정상적인 multi user 상태에서는 run level 3 상태로 되며 
    Solaris 2.x 에서는 이밖에도 여러가지 run level 조절 기능이 있다.

   시스템을 정지시는 위에 언급된 run level 0 로 가는 방법과 명령어 상태 
   에서 halt 를 입력하는 방법이 있다. 
 
    # repeat 3 sync   ---> syncing the file system 
    # halt 
      OK 
 
    # init 0 
      OK 
 
    # shutdown -y -g60 -i0 
 
     Shutdown started.    1997년 2월 14일 금요일 오전 06시 17분 20초

     * 위의 경우 60초후 init level 0 로 시스템을 정지시킴을 의미 
       ( 접속된 client system 으로 message 전송 기능이 있슴)
