2.10 Partition Size변경

아래는 Partition Size변경벙법을 설명한다.

1. Partition 0에 20 MB로 size 증가시키는 예를 들어본다. Partition table을 변경하기 위해 modify를 입력

Partition > modify
Select partitioning base:
0.current partition table(SUN0424)
1.All free Hog
Choose Return or type 0 to change the current partition table.


2. 현재 Partition table을 출력

3. 새로운 Partition table을 생성하기 위해 yes나 return을 입력한다.

Do you wish to continue creating a new patition table based on above table[yes]? Return


4. Free Hog patition으로 partition 6번 선택

Free hog partition[6]? Return

free hog partition은 다른 partition의 size가 변경됨에 따라 확장과 축소되는 disk영역 accumnlator로서 사용된다.(이 기능은 SunInstall`s Unallocated space Meter와 유사하다)

5. Partition () size에 20MB입력, 다른 partition size는 현재 size로 입력

Enter size of partition '1' [65520b, 91c, 31.99mb]: Return
Enter size of partition '0' [0b, 0c, 0.00mb]: Return
Enter size of partition '5' [0b, 0c, 0.00mb]: Return
Enter size of partition '7' [0b, 0c, 0.00mb]: Return

6. 자동적으로 새로운 Partition table이 display되며, 새로운 partition size가 맞는지 확인.

Format utility는 다음번 cylinder의 size에 Mbyte단위로 반올림 한다. modify option을 사용하면 partition영역들 사이에 'holes'이 없는 다른 partition영역의 초기 cylinder영역을 자동으로 조정해 준다.

7. Partiton Table 의 사용을 확인한다.

8. 새로운 partition table이름을 입력한다.

Enter table name (remember quotes): "c0t0d0.424"
Partition table 이름은 항상 disk이름과 size를 가지고 있다.

9. 수정된 table을 disk로 write한다.

Ready to label disk, continue? Yes

10. Partition menu을 exit한다.

Patition > quit

main format menu가 나타난다.

11. format main menu에서 verity command로 새로운 disk label을 검사

Partition영역검사

Partition size의 감소한 영역만큼 현재의 Partition과 다음번 partiton사이에 쓸모없는 영역이 있게된다. Partition size를 조정하기 위해 0-7 option을 사용할 시, cylinder의 시작과 끝을 연속적으로 만들어줘야 한다.
