Network을 통해서 표준시각을 알려주는 서버(server 211.39.143.103)에서 시간정보 가져오기 [NTP 서버] KR ntp.ewha.net [211.39.143.103] Location: KT-IDC, Bundang, Korea Geographic Coordinates: 37:24:45.3N 127:07:28.5E (WGS 84) Synchronization: NTP V3 (stratum 2), i586/Linux Service area: Korea Access policy: Open access within Korea, send email to notify. Please limit access to one or two hosts per site (large sites should set up their own ntp server) Contact: ntp@ewha.net Note: IP addresses are subject to change; please use DNS 1. NTP 서버 설정 (with Atomic Clock) a. /etc/ntp.conf 편집 server server 127.127.1.0 #secondary driftfile /etc/ntp.drift tracefile /etc/ntp.trace ex) server 211.39.143.103 b. ntpdate If it doesn't say "no server suitable for synchronization found", go to next step. c. smitty xntpd -> start at both system restart and now. Let run for approximately 10 minutes before moving to step 4. Otherwise, stratum will show 16. d. lssrc -s xntpd Stratum should show between 3-4 but ok as long as it doesn't show 16. Server is ok, now to configure client. 2. NTP 클라이언트 설정 (with Atomic Clock) a. /etc/ntp.conf 편집 server driftfile /etc/ntp.drift tracefile /etc/ntp.trace b. ntpdate If it doesn't say "no server suitable for synchronization found", go to next step. c. smitty xntpd-->start at both system restart and now. Let run for approximately 10 minutes or so before going on to step 4. Otherwise stratum may show 16. d. lssrc -s xntpd Stratum should show 4-5. If it doesn't its ok as long as it doesn't show 16. Clocks should now be in sync.
